Ohoh, wanted to blog about sg bus services.

Sunday 14th Jan

Went to esplanade and was taking a bus home from there. 3 buses go to bukit timah, 77, 171, 961. Since 77 and 171 head towards bukit timah from tht bus stop i assume 961 does the same. So got on it as soon as it came, then I realised 961 is the one tht goes by chinatown and take a looong time to reach bukit timah. So conveniently fell asleep.

And then the bus stopped at geylang interchange -_- and i realised i was the onli one left on the bus. Apparently this stooopid bus goes AWAY from bukit timah rather then towards. got off at the terminal just in time to see another 961 leaving. So I prepared myself to wait patiently for another 961 to come, let it detour to obscure parts like chinatown, and finally reach bukit timah 1 hr ++ later.

But WHEEE. thnk god for the existance of buses like958. its damn cool, takes the expressway and gets to bukit timah in like..8 stops? makes me feel like i'm takin a cab.

And similarly for today, took 157 from toapayoh to holland in 20 mins. This rocks for ppl who like to stretch time.

Whoo hoo, can't believe I'm leaving tmr!! or today, in 12 hours time. 2005 my mum allowed me to go I told her I'm going to postpone it to after As so my friends can go with me and it'll be more fun and furthermore, there'll be more time, can spend longer tme there (cos I just got back from Laos then...not much time left b4 school starts)And wheee...it pays off!! Big apple with huimin!

Visit to Tekong!

Haha, got a ticket from ann to go with her family to Tekong. Her cousin has 9 people following him to enlist =P So to get to tekong is a hell of a trouble. Take MRT to Pasir Ris, take shuttle bus from Pasir Ris, take ferry to tekong...e.t.c.e.t.c.

Its a good experience, since I have no brothers and I'm not going to have sons or anything, i think =P Once again, army men are damn cool! Like those I saw in NDP!! Haha, and life looks quite good, but its probably just to make a first good impression. Haha, the sergeant guiding us reminds me of the marshall at ndp. same nervous look. when introducing the recreation room, he was like, this is where they can chill out. cos there's air con, so its very chilly. heehee.


ohoh, and in the bunks the sargeant was like, oh you have thick mattresses, thick blankets, laundry service, sheets and pillowcases changed every thurs e.t.c. Any qns?
ann whispered, only one pillow ah?
ann's cousin later was like: no king koil

hmm..introducing equipment and uniform...yeah..seems quite good again, new balance shoes and all, but prob just to make first good impression again. Haha, so they had a display of all the individual equipments and pieces of uniform the army men get. and at the side, there's a man dressed in all his gear, weapon, helmet, backpack, and the works. The man introducing was like, you can all come closer and take a look, but please dun touch my display (of course, people didn't realli take heed), if you want, you can touch the gentleman over there. haha, i bet tht man wearing the equipement wasn't amused =P

Eh..ceremony. Army life seriously looked cool onscreen (but i bet it ain't as cool going thru it. Though it must be cool dressed in number 1 uniform, commanding a whole platoon...espeically if you're a woman commanding the men!!I would give anything to see my dad commanding soldiers..hmm..and scolding them =P ) So they took an oath, and lemme paste ann's blog here:
"the swearing in ceremony was super funny coz the speech went like this:I, NRIC NO (all the guys rattle off their ic numbers so it sounds like ilasjdashdkasndjkasdiasdlkasd), FULL NAME (again they rattle off their full names so...)ya sam and i were laughing like mad."

ohoh,the new recruits who just shaved their heads and put on their pt attire, LOOKED LIKE SEC1S . small and scrawny =P Hahaha.

Ah, and then lunch. What happened b4 lunch was my slipper broke -_- terrible. So limped around barefoot while getting food. Asked a man in no. 4 uniform, hi, is there anywhere i can get new slippers . and he was like, uh, haha, uh, i don;t really know. Seriously, this is like the 3rd or 4th time in the day i met with nervous sargeants. ann's mum commented this othre soldier talks like a girl.

So i went to ask an officer instead, and he went around to ask for me. Said gift shop may have and i may have to purchase it and i;m like sure. Then after awhile jaguar company sargeant major came and offered me a pair, told me to return it to ann's cousin and he'll get it from him. then ann asked me to just buy it from him, and he was like, oh nonono, we can't accpet money, just take your return. and the guy beside him waslike, dun return also can.

haha, super nice lah. Oh lunch is damn good. Went thru it. there was 9 courses. yup, and tht was about it. oh, saw giri, geri, jonng, uh..quite a few ppl =P (of course geri was there to visit=P )was looking out for ppl i know, and i thought i'd at least manage to spot jonteo cos his so tall. but noo...jonteo msged me at night: I SAW U AND U DIN SEE ME. hmph. they must have realli looked scrawny then

In school now! hahaha, like old times. Without the Alevels of course. I think I miss fflorence. She was quite nice after all. On retrospect of course. Haha. Hmm..going down to buy food, ggoingg down to find teachers e.t.c. Oh, and utilizing schools' electicity. hanyou and i carn seem to hep ourselves. bringingg chragers to charge hp, charge ipod, and today, my laptop. Ahhhhh. Alright, baack to uni apps and dr who.

Ah, chalet was just over. Wheee, stress free. So guess what happened

was at the swimming pool with hanyou and ofe and ket, in our tee shirts
And this sickening scurity guard (female) sucking a lollipop came to tell us we carn swim in our tees
and we asked her: WHY NOT? We have our swimming costumes under our tee just tht we dun want to go around in our swimming costumes onli
And she said: you are so wierd. most ppl wear tees cos theydun have swimming costumes, u have swimming costumes, why not jusur tee off?
then she proceeded to ask stranger guys at the other jacuzzi: SHOULD THEY TAKE THEIR TEE OFF?
and those PERVERTS WERE LIKE: TAKE IT OFF TAKE IT OFF!!!

WAH LAO

So what happened next was, we agreed to take our tees off and she walked away
As we were struggling to remove our tees in the water cos they keep floating up and were trying to hide our bodies in the water, she came by again and asked: DO YOU ALL NEED HELP???

DO WE ALL NEED HELP REMOVING OUR TEES FROM HER? NO THNANK YOU!!

and what happened next was definitely cos she jinxed my life.

I took my handphone from the top of the rock wall cos i was afriad it'd be stolen. Den I STUPIDLY jumped into the pool and put my hand in, and removed it after i realised what happened. i effectovely dunked my phone into the water. Wow, like this bringsstupidity to a whole new level. ARGH. so now its spoilt. ARGHHHHHHHH.

Anyway around 9.00 went with ket ofe hanyou to swimming pool again, and took the water slide over and over again. wheee.
Went to the beach with them during sunset...made cute drawings on the beach, like soidey and big butterfly amd biger starfish and bigger still butterfly and biggest starfish. and um, chiense names. hmmmm...

Alright. NY flight confirmed. Looking forward to it, visiting unis, touring ny on my own when mei is in sch, visiting mei's sch, touring ny with mei...prob gg down to washington dc if my mum can contact her friend, claeraing customs myself...museums, statue of liberty, central park..oh well, big apple, here i come. Don't remember tht much of it in the last 2 times, i suppose tht means its a waste of money bringing kids younger then 14 on vacatoins =PP

this takes going on a trip "alone" to a whole new meaning. Alone really means by myself. Not with any friends =S 18 hour flight...character building, and i'm looking foward to after touching down!

i carn wait for tmr to be over =S stress free. i have 9 days left b4 i leave and i itnend to spend these 9 days properly. cos once i come back work starts already. i.e. stress free. games. shows. piano. i miss mei alotalotalot. i miss having people live near me!! she can come down slightly convenently at relatively shorter notice..i miss dropping byat her house..at holland..her itching to play halo at my house..lunches with everyone else in town...=( i should make friends with my neighbours. can play games with them.

Wheeee. High =))

Out with mei ann huimin wenqing yest. Somehow going out with crescent ppl brings the most laughter. Haha, the last one with mei ann huimin samling and pat had the same effect =)

Met in orchard lib, dinner at mos, arcade, macs icecream. One night summerised in 1 line, wheee. Haha, reminiscing about all the funny in stuff in sec4, funny lines wenqing or mei said or what mrloh said to mei, hahahaha

ann: *referring to fries* these are so unhealthy..they are all fried
wenqing: of course they are all fried, their fries!!

if not call boils ah

And today gathering at my house. Damn funny, i think one of the prime reasons why we gathered was cause we owed each other stuff. Like, huimin owes wenqing conan cds, wenqing owes huimin feng shui book, wenqing owes mei monkey island cd, which me and huimin happily took and used as well, i owe ann dvds, huimin owes sam ling mangas, i owe sam ling umbrella, uh..,.mei giving me her ps1 and her arcade gun and her ps1 games, WHEEEEEEEEE. I'm so happy i can play time crisis and other arcade games and die without having to toss in another coin everytime tht happens (which is ALOT) And like what mei says, i can play and train and memorise the game, den go intot he arcade and hog the machine, play from beginning to end and start again, play with one hand, play with eyes closed..hahahaha. And this holiday have discovered a love for shooting games. Its really really alot of hand eye coordination which i sorely lack =S

So..fortune cookies making today. Orange dye...=S And it didn't turn out too well...
Then halo marathon. 4 people halo!
And bubble bobble marathon. where everyone tries to beat huimin. She's too good.

ahh..and mei is going home on sat =/

anyway its time to plan my life, as in have a proper routine. First of all finish all my uni apps (michigan left), then build up on what I need to do daily. i.e. practice piano and do my theory homework and talk at least an hour on the phone and watch at least an hour of tv.

after tht we plan weekly classes, like dance and language classes.

then i slot in all the other self improvement activities, namely hand-eye coordiantion and aiming. I can't wait to set up tht ps in a proper place and play time crisis!!!
